Hello,I Live in Huddersfield,West Yorkshire and am proud of my Irish ancestry.
My hobbies are penfriends (would welcome any long letter writers either email or slow mail), craft-work mainly patchwork, knitting and tapestry work.
I love poetry, books, walking, theatre,listening to the radio,conversation,interested in family history, art especially the Arts and Crafts movement and attend regular lectures in York with the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society.
I bake and garden but would rather lie down if I get the urge to do housework!
I have three sister, two brothers and a large extended family here in England and in Eire. I have two children and two beloved granddaughters.
I love travel but like to visit people and if they live somewhere special that is an added bonus.I love having visitors and showing them the delights of Yorkshire. As my granddaughters live in Hong Kong, we are frequent travellers to the area and from there we have travelled to China, Taiwan and Vietnam.
I am a member of Women Welcome Women Worldwide though as yet I haven't travelled widely but I like to read of the travels of the other members.
My favourite cards are with dress, shoes or costumes however I eagerly anticipate receiving any postcards!!
