About Sandy...

Hello, and greetings from Minnesota! I live in an apartment building at the edge of a small city in central MN. It's for people aged 62+, so I call it 'the old folks home'. ;oP I'm young in spirit - my body not so much, lol.

I enjoy reading, tv, spoiling my cat, feeding the birds and squirrels, and having fun with my sister. She's really funny, and so much fun to be with! I'm passionate about animals/nature, history, geography, and music. I like to watch the critters in my yard, especially the birds, squirrels, chipmunks, ants, baby bunnies, and I feel lucky to live in a state where I can see bald eagles and swans flying overhead. As a child, I dreamed of being able to talk to the animals, like Dr. Doolittle. My family "nickname" really is Coonwoman, so I was delighted to find a picture of a raccoon checking for mail to use as my avatar. ;o)

Please date and sign your card, and I would really appreciate it if you would write a sentence in your native language, with the english translation.

I would love to receive cards of anything and everything about your country - especially the area you live in! From animals to trees, and everything in-between (I couldn't think of anything beyond "T" - that's what age does to you). ;o)

Other interests are non-religious Christmas and Easter, any time of year, modern or old-fashioned. Valentines Day, and Halloween if you celebrate it in your country. How about holidays unique to your country?

Cute/funny cards that will make me laugh - animals, people, or just words.

*I adore Inga Look's "grannies", and would love to receive one!

I would love to receive the postcard "The Legend of the Waving Girl"!

Castles, old ruins, interesting old buildings and houses.

I've developed a strong liking for night view cards too - cities, streets, etc. It must be the lights! ;o)

Unfortunately, traveling is not in my future, so show me what I'm missing - I'm looking forward to hearing from you! :oD

My favorites wall is an extension of my wishlist, as so many here do. There are a few on my favorites wall that I actually received (that the senders uploaded), but I won't be adding any more.
