About Chiroptera...

Hi! I'm a 28-year-old woman working in education and I'm interested in all kinds of things related to nature, wildlife and urban culture. In summer I enjoy hiking, travelling and being outdoors. During the long dark winter I spend my free time going to coffee shops, gigs and cozy pubs, editing photos, reading, cooking with too much chili, knitting/crocheting or doing other handicrafts like jewellery. Right now I live in the downtown of Turku, the oldest city in Finland. My hometown Oulu is located 620 km up north. I have also lived in Belgium and eastern Finland.

It would be fun to receive all kinds of landscape & city views or local nature & wildlife related postcards! I'm especially interested in

- bats (my username Chiroptera means the order of bats)
- mountains & volcanoes
- old castles, ruins & history
- caves & special landforms
- oaks and other big trees
- national parks
- owls, wolves, rodents, rats
- black & white cards with cats
- idyllic countryside views
- peculiar architecture
- Australia & New Zealand animals
- books (old books, someone reading etc.)
- map cards
- old art (Brueghel, Vermeer etc.) & art nouveau

I'm also interested in stamps. (No ad-cards please... I don't especially like sports related things or abstract art either, otherwise everything goes :-))

I really appreciate it if you find time to write something about yourself, your town or country... or any other subject that comes to your mind! I enjoy reading postcards just as much as I like watching them :-) Hoping to hear from you soon!

If you wonder am I familiar with your country, here's the list of the countries I have been to: Belgium, Holland, France, England, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Poland. Very briefly visited: Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany.
