About Kathi...
Hello! =)
My name is Kathi, I'm 19 years old and I live in Vienna, which is the capital of Austria.
Although it is quite a nice city, the thing I find most exciting is to travel around foreign countries and get to know everything possible about life and people there. I spent the last two summers travelling through Europe with an Interrail ticket, which was one of the best things I ever did! There are so many places I want to see all over the world and I love the idea of exchanging postcards with people living all across the whole globe.
The second thing I really love is literature. Currently I’m trying to make my passion a profession and therefore study Comparative Literature, but also Dramatics, Dutch and History of Art. I love literature in all possible forms, important novels of famous writers as well as fanfictions on the Internet (unfortunately I haven’t yet written one of the former ones, but I do write some fanfics at times)! I don’t really have a favourite book or writer, I like Haruki Murakami as well as Hermann Hesse and Oscar Wilde, and although some of my fellow students might protest, I think Harry Potter is a great book! =)
The third thing I can’t live without is dancing. I started it as a hobby when I was 10 and it has by now become one of the most important things in my life. It’s hard to explain what it is like, but I think we do a mixture of Jazz, Contemporary and even a little bit of acting. I’m in a group since 6 years and I found some of my best friends there.
Of course I love music (I’m very curious to find out which kind of music you like!), foreign languages (I’d like to learn at least sign language and Japanese some day), art in general and theatre and film in particular and I love the feeling of excitement and anticipation when I go to open the letterbox. =)
If you don’t mind me having your address, please write it on your postcard too – I’ll send you one in return to say thank you!
Greetings from Vienna,
Kathi
