About Cartoline2011...
•THIS IS A POSTCARD PROJECT...so please,NO MORE FOLDED, GREETING CARD!!! When I receive them I am very disappointed because I know that you didn't read my profile.•
Hello, I am italian and I live in New York State with my american husband and our children. I am teaching to them about other countries and cultures so this postcard exchange will be a wonderful project! We make a deal to research and learn more about the subject in the postcard, for us postcrossing is a fun and exciting educational tool.
Please NO folding, greeting cards (this is Postcards project!) self-made, no envelopes, no advertisement or design, movies or actors/singers, maps or flags, no sexuality and no violence. Nudity is ok as long is breastfeeding or tribal. No cats or dogs, only wild animals. Also I am not fond of postcards with lots of tiny sceneries, I prefer single shots or max of 3 images, thank you!
We prefer postcards of:
- cities and their landmarks, monuments, bridges, museums, castles, etc.
- natural landscapes, northern lights, rainbows
- nature at her worst like earthquakes, tsunami or volcanic eruptions, Tornadoes, etc.
- people (in particular children, mothers and babies) with local costumes and in their real life, like weddings, ceremonies, school, parades, daily activities in traditional clothes, folklore, dancing (I love maternity pictures, breastfeeding moms)
- shops, markets and bazaars, artisans at work
- insects and wild animals in natural settings (my girl loves mother with baby animals!)
- real mushrooms, carnivorous plants and wild flowers (Edelweiss is my favorite)
- tractors and transportations (my boy loves steam shovels, steam trains, boats, blimps, agricoltural tractors, etc) in regular motion and in accidents
- galaxies, space, planets and satellite images of earth
- crafts and objects or locations from prehistory, ancient population, medieval ages, renaissance or the '40s, '50s (we do love history!)
- different alphabets in use or ancient
- fossils and dinosaurs
- we love old style, b/w, vintage pictures/portraits of all of the above!
Just all real images (except the dinosaur.....) and real stamps!!!
Thanks! Grazie! Merci! And happy post crossing!
Just a note: the american postal system puts a long sticker on the postcard, it is very easy to peel it off, it will not ruin the images!
