About Leah...

"A postcard lets a friend know you're thinking of her, sharing a little of your holiday sunshine to brighten her day."~Francis Gay
*****

I am a retired Mother of two and blessed with a grand-daughter, who is almost two years old. I live in Australia. Living in a lonely and empty nest enables me to pursue and reconnect to my long lost love with my hobbies that were abandoned when mothering job took its toll.

I created websites via blogspot to showcase these interests I kept in the closet for years.

Old age doesn't stop me from doing what I love to do. It's that girly part of me that is impossible to discard.

Searching for some information about Postcard collecting, I was taken to a Wikipedia page where as a result has brought me in Postcrossing. And that intensifies my interest even more.

I have other leisure activities where I spend my time constructively and positively. I can be creative in my own way though not as much as with eloquence, elegance and sophistication.

Travels fascinate me having lived an almost nomadic life since childhood and I can only do so now but only as long as I'm able.

Here's something to share: Gardens of Laughter - yes postcard collecting is one of that gardens of somekind for in my lonesome state, I love to laugh. I found this poem from one of the Inspirational websites.

Gardens of Laughter

Life is a journey through many terrains
From gardens of pleasure to deserts of pain
From an ocean of love to a jungle of hate
From mountains of glory thru canyons of fate.

There's a highway for joy and a highway for sorrow
A road for today and a road for tomorrow
So choose your path wisely and go it with care
If you follow your heart, you'll find your way there.

I've been to the garden and planted seeds there
I've been to the desert and felt the despair
I've swam in the ocean and drank of it's wine
I've ran through the jungle and hung from a vine.

I climbed up the mountain to touch the sky
I went thru the canyon and started to cry
I've traveled both highways, both today and tomorrow
I've basked in the joy and wallowed in sorrow.

My path has been chosen and I've gone it with care
I followed my heart and I'm on my way there
So I'll just keep going until I find what I'm after
To mountains, oceans, jungles and gardens of laughter.
