About Eric...

Hello Postcrossers! My name is Eric. I'm 57 years old and live in upstate New York, where I'm starting a new job, soon to be joined by my wonderful wife and two cats. I enjoy reading, walking, drinking tea/coffee, and, of course, writing postcards. I'm really happy to receive any postcard, but here are some ideas below if you want any (If the list makes it harder to choose a card for me, please ignore it!). In any case, I pay more attention to the back of the card than the front--the back is our blank canvas to write/draw/communicate. Also, I know my favorite cards are probably ones I haven't seen yet, but here we go...

- Interesting Stamps
- Vintage/retro fashion, advertising, and travel posters
- Black and white/sepia/historical photographs, especially of people I've never heard of!
- Vintage/old cards. When cards begin to turn a yellowish color, it only means that they are now ripe :)
- Lettering in other (not English) languages (maybe you can translate?)
- Illustrated city/landscape view
- National/local history and culture
- Maps (country/region/city)
- Local view cards
- Sailing ships
- Trains
- Local/national food
- Baseball outside of U.S. (so far I've received cards from Japan, Taiwan, and Canada and stamps from Canada, Japan, Czech Republic, and South Korea!)
- Writers/artists/musicians/actors/royalty/famous people of your country
- Seasonal postcards for Christmas Chinese New Year, Halloween, or any holiday/time of year

Please send written/stamped without an envelope. When I was a boy, I collected stamps, but now I'm happy for the stamps to stay on their cards. I'm always eager to read about daily life for everyone else (What are you doing/reading/watching/listening to/eating?) and am glad to swap written/stamped cards.

Thank you, and Happy Postcrossing!
