About Ellen...
I'm a mama, trying Postcrossing so that my kids (11 and 7) and I can learn more about other parts of the world and to add some excitement to our mailbox. :)
We welcome any and all postcards or letters, including handmade ones! (Ok, got our first "ad card", don't really love those, especially with no message!!)Please definitely write on them and stamp them.
You could tell us something about where you live and your daily life- We love the odd, funny, quirky things that make us all the same yet a little bit diffent.
We'd be happy to hear about your day, your family or pets or even what you ate for breakfast this morning, because it's probably interesting to us. (Really!)
*The kids just added that if you want to tell us about something you loved to do as a child, or special book, game, toy or pet...they'd like that a lot!*
Thank you!
P.S.
So, we've learned that we like all the cards, but particularly enjoy:
people
folk art
wildlife
vintage
crafts, art or foods from your country
unusual instruments
weird/offbeat cards!
street scenes, street musicians, pedestrians, street food vendors
colorful buildings
typical homes or businesses
black and white photos
ancient ruins
nursing babies/mothers
nursing animal babies or mother/baby pairs
subcultures- hippies,travellers, etc
The kids also love dragons, wizards, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, old and magical looking objects or scenes and stickers. :)
Everyday life cards are so good!
Argentina- Would love La Boca, Evita or tango dancers. :)
We also love it when people write the date the card was sent and the weather!
