About Isabel...

Hi! I´m a former psychiatrist, writer and painter. My favorite postcard themes are:
* Special request: a postcard showing a labyrinth or a spiral motive
- victorian style postcards (fairies, children, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc)
- children's books illustrations/Disney/Peanuts
- related to World War I and II
- humorous postcards
- famous people (writers, painters, musicians, politicians, royalty...)
- with philatelic interest - featuring stamps, for instance
- cats and other felines (mainly illustrations - I'm trying to collect drawing/painting cat cards from all over the world)
- maps
- old advertising postcards
- vintage/retro postcards
- old movie stars and anything related to cinema
- animals, wild life
- local flora, fruits
- Easter postcards (not folded cards) anytime
- traditional costumes
- natural landscapes
- city views

I should like to make some requests: please, do not send photos taken by you, handmade cards or ad/free postcards. I also like to receive a singleview postcard with a nice stamp, not inside an envelope, and I prefer the 15x10 cm size(but if you have a nice, juicy cat, no matter the size, feel free to send it!)

I must say, what a lovely way to be connected with people all over the world... I'm a huge reader, love poetry and classical music, gardening, laughing, and I have two cats. And I love and need the sea and the desert.

To collect postcards is nice, bur not essential...the important thing, to me, is to be able to watch. Deeply. Besides, to be in contact with real people is a nice way to cope with all the bleak news of the financial world crisis, wars and social injustice. A warm heart, cultural diversity, solidarity and friendship are the things we should worry about...:)

best regards from COIMBRA, PORTUGAL
