Hi everyone!

I am a SRN (State Registered Nurse) living with my husband on a houseboat in a small town called Zaandam, near Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a very cosmopolitan city. Zaandam is a much smaller place, it is more "the countryside", but just as nice to live. I am surrounded by waterbirds, trees, grassland, water, sun, rain, wind, clouds: quite special!

I am interested in photography and modern art, which includes modern ballet. I love movies and books.

As we have only just moved to the countryside to our houseboat, I have taken up gardening as well, which is new to me, as I have never had a garden before. I now have a garden of almost 300 square meters. That is a good sized garden by Dutch standards. It means for me cultivating the soil, sowing, planting, pruning, in general working hard.

I would love cards of:

all types of heavy weatherconditions: rain, storm, rainbows, snowstorms, thunder & lighting etc

big birds like birds of prey, swans, especially black swans, grebes, albatross, cormorants, herons, owls, peacocks, ducks, waterhens, geese, rooster, chickens etc

I would love an Albatross like in the rhyme of "The Ancient Mariner" from Samuel Taylor Coleridge. That would thrill me to pieces

Gardens, flowers, leaves, trees also have my interest: I love macro shots

and cards of Giant Hogweeds (giant cow parsley, Queen Anne's Lace or Berenklauw) as in my Avatar! That would be super! I really adore those "weeds"! They are mean but só decorative

But I am also interested in:

Czars (tsars) & tsarina's (Romanovs), early Royalties (Habsburgers) matroesjka's

Henry VIII and his 6 wives

Queen Elizabeth I (you remember the movie starring Cate Blanchett?)

Cards showing people of all kind

Art cards: Mucha, Art Nouveau etc

and, funnily enough: shoes, I like cards with shoes: balletshoes, high-heels, sportsshoes, flip-flops, boots, clogs, e.g.

But also your local food & drinks: fruit, vegetables, dishes, coffees, would please me

your hometown: nooks, niches like special corners, courtyards, little outbuildings, stables, windows, frontdoors, winding stairscases, doorhandles, post-boxes, lampposts, etc in your city,

old cottages, Victorian period houses, Elizabethan, Edwardian properties, old Rectories with rambling roses, historic red brick Timber Frame Houses, Tudor Houses, old Farmhouses, the Huf House, das Fachwerkhaus, Manses, Lodges, Vicarages, grand Residences, castles and ruins high in the mountains....

but you can also make me happy with Inge Löök-postcards

Clear, strong coloured cards, a little unusual, out of the ordinary run of cards, are my favourites. I also appreciate nice stamps on the card, if possible.

I prefer non-touristic cards. I am sorry, I don't like free- or ad-cards, cards cut out of a box of any kind, so, please do not send those. It is so disappointing as I try to honour your requests when I send official postcards and Iam so pleased when I receive a card that matches my requests.
