About AnneMarit...

I am a SRN (State Registered Nurse) living with my husband on a contemporary houseboat with all Mod Cons near Amsterdam. I am surrounded by waterbirds, trees, grass (polder), water, sun, rain, wind, clouds: quite special.

I like photography and Art which includes modern ballet
(I love cards of famous ballet dancers).

Since we moved to the countryside to our houseboat, I have taken up gardening as well, which is new to me as I have never had a garden before. I now have a garden of 300 square meters. That is a good sized garden by Dutch standards.

I enjoy cards with:

Houseboats, floating houses (now, that is a challenge!)

all types of weather: rain, storm, rainbows, snowstorms, thunder & lighting

big birds like birds of prey, (black) swans, grebes, cormorants, herons, owls, peacocks, ducks, waterhen, geese, rooster, chickens, magpies

I would love an Albatross like in the rhyme of "The Ancient Mariner" from Samuel Taylor Coleridge. That would thrill me to pieces.

I love macro shots from leaves and trees.

Recently I seem to have found a new passion in Red-Haired Women from Sir Frederic Leighton, Lawrence Alma-Tadema, Rossetti, Waterhouse, Albert Herter, Luke Fildes, Frederick Sandys and many more. They are awesome. If you have any, I will love you for ever.

I am also interested in:

tsars & tsarina's (Romanovs), early Royalties like Habsburgers (Sisi), Haus Hohenzollern, Hohenstaufen, Henry VIII and his 6 wives, Queen Elizabeth I, other nobilities & aristocracy, but also present presidents like Obama.

Art cards: Mucha, Art Nouveau/Deco

Your local food & drinks: fruit, vegetables, dishes, coffees, onions, garlic etc would please me.

Couleur locale: local people, corners, courtyards, outbuildings, stables, windows, frontdoors, winding stairscases, doorhandles, post-boxes, lampposts etc.

I love the look of anything used: worn, torn, rusty and dusty.

Old cottages, Victorian houses, Elizabethan properties, old Rectories with rambling roses, Timber Frame Houses, Tudor Houses, old Farmhouses, the Huf House, das Fachwerkhaus, das Hundertwasser Haus in Vienna, Manses, Lodges, Vicarages, grand Residences, castles, chateaus and ruins high up in the mountains, I shall love them all.

Catholicism: Mass, Saints, Maria, Jesus
Pilgrimage: St. James' Way, El Camino de Santiago, Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, Droga Świętego Jakuba, Il Cammino di Santiago di Compostela. (Pelgrimsroute naar Santiago de Compostela), Lourdes.

Shells, seashells. Love them!

Non-touristic cards are my favourites. I also appreciate nice stamps on the card, if possible.

Please check my received postcardwall from your country to prevent doubles.

Cards in my favourites are cards I do not have, and would love to receive.

Last but not least: no free cards, I spend quite a bit of money to buy pretty postcards and time to read your profile and select one of your interest. I would think it very nice if you would do the same for me. Thanks for caring.
