About Anita...

I live in a little town that is about 600 years old on a shore of a little lake. My neighbour is The Church of St. Birgitta, built in the change of the 15th and 16th century.

I am intrested in the different ways people have discovered and developed to live and to survive in various kinds of environments.

I like travelling, architecture, nature, litterature, movies, theatre, music and photography.

And I like cards. I like to send them and to get them. When I made my first tour, my mother wanted that I send every day a postcard to home, so that they know that I am alive. It was in the end of 1950's! Since that tour, I have sent cards to my parents, husband and sons from the places where I have been. I have been lucky and I have had possibility to travel rather much. Now also my sons send me cards, when they are travelling.- Not any more every day, because nowadays people travel so much.

My younger son had familiarized himself with postcrossing and he sent me an e-mail about postcrossing. He thought that I might like to postcross. And so well he knew me. I have now been a postcrosser over 2 years. And oh how I like this!

I hope You send to me a card that introduces me Your home village/town/city or country. I have learned about myself that I like more single view cards than multi-thumbnail cards. I seem to be sensitive to nature views, culture views and village/town/city views. But I also like art reprints, photograph cards and design cards.

It would be nice to see, what kind is the season in Your country at the time when You send me Your card, so send me winter, spring, summer, autumn cards or rainy season cards. I like also cards of different weather: rainy, stormy, foggy, dim, gloomy and sunny, heaty.

And then, every culture has festivals like Christmas, New Year, Midsummer and so on... I have learnt about the Chinese New Year customs by postcrossing, about the Songkran Festival with water spreeding. Please, cards introducing different kinds of cultural traditions and festivals.

There are also cards that are issued to help each other, for example UNICEF, Red Cross, The Anti-Tuberculosis Associations, Save the Children and so on issue cards. I am interested also in these cards, if they are issued by national organizations.

Then I like stamps, beatiful stamps. In every country there are fine philatelic stamps. These kinds of stamps delight me really.

I also appreciate, if You tell me something about your home place. What do you love and are proud of in your country, city, town or village

Waiting for postcards, stamps and stories...

Anita
