She has been a member for over 2 years (1062 days).Linda, Age 51 with daughter 28 and grandaughter aged 10, who is also a Postcrosser. I am a nurse and have 5 dogs, 3 cats, cage birds and tropical fish and also some giant African snails! I enjoy walking my dogs on the beach, and collecting antiques and especially vintage 1900's postcards. Love ebay too!
I work in a care home for the elderly and like my job, though it can be very demanding at times. I enjoy Sudoku and it helps to keep me awake on night shifts!! Also a good horror film or two....
I have a son of 31 living in Adelaide, Australia and I've been out there three times to see him and my sister in Perth WA. My next planned visit is in November 2007. I have recently been over there last October and drove up to Ayers Rock which was a very long trip! We went via Woomera and Coober Pedy and I have never seen so much road kill! Scenery fantastic though. but very hot.
I have got a tiny chihuahua called 'Bobby' who is a real cutie! He's now a year old. Unfortunately, my oldest dog, also a chihuahua who was 15 died at Christmas. My Springer Spaniel Rosie had 8 lovely puppies on December 26th and even though they took some looking after it was a good experience. Not sure about doing it again!
I live in a rural area of North Northumberland which is very beautiful. Plenty of walks and the Northumberland coastline only 15 minutes away by car. We are within easy reach of some beautiful castles, one being Alnwick which was used in the Harry Potter films. Others are Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh. Newcastle upon Tyne is the nearest city, 28 miles away and is a vibrant, multi-cultural big city with plenty to do, see and go out for a night in - if you are brave enough (it gets a bit like the Old Wild West at times).
I would like any sort of postcard, views and animals - even vintage ones if possible. If you are from Finland I LOVE the Moomins! I have a good album now and enjoy a gossipy card! Will send a card back to anyone who puts on their address. Anyone who wants to exchange emails is very welcome too. It's wonderful to think of everyone as a potential friend.
I have recently started to print my own postcards, so most of mine are quite original. But quite amateurish compared to some homeprinted ones I have received. Though I do send conventional ones too, so don't be disappointed! I look forward to getting your card x
PS - (If you have read this far) - I am also on www.YouTube.com as bobbysmummy (mostly doggy videos) and also have quite a few photographs on www.Flickr.com as lindapritchard2004.
