My family had peacocks Alexander and Ceasar, and a peahen Cleopatra. We live in Florida and the weather is always mild, no snow. The boys would open their beautiful train and rattle/vibrate their fan at the female to impress her. Each year the boys would moult their tail feathers and they make wonderful decorations, much like a vase of flowers. Peacocks are creatures of habit and will never leave their homes. When my parents bought a new house, the peacocks adopted the new owners.
